Testing & Quality

In the company of Hokami quality is an integral part of any manufacturing process. Screening takes place in all stages of production – from material receipt through applying solder paste, SMT and THT pcb assembly to final assembly, functional testing and dispatch of finished products. Multilevel quality control system, we can ensure high reliability, repeatability of production and maximum quality of each electronic assembly.

Manufacturing processes are controlled in accordance with the requirements of the standard IPC-A-610, wherein the purity of the printed circuit boards is performed according to the recommendations of the IPC-CH-65B. All control and test processes are adapted to the specific requirements of the customer and the nature of the manufactured product.

Control over the entire manufacturing process

Quality is checked from the first manufacturing operations. We're checking the correct application of solder paste, precision casting parts, the quality of the solder joints, the electrical properties and functionality of the final product. Each step is designed to have possible deviations detected as soon as possible and do not affect the final quality of the product.

Part of our quality system are in particular:

  • SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) – quality control applying the solder paste.
  • AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) automatic optical inspection of the accuracy of the fitting and solder joints.
  • BGA inspection using endoscopic cameras.
  • In-Circuit Test (ICT) – electrical control of loaded components, and connections.
  • Functional testing (FCT) according to the requirements of the customer.
  • The programming of the electronic assemblies.
  • Burn-in tests to verify the long-term reliability.
  • High-voltage tests (HV Test) for AC and DC applications.
  • Mechanical tests buttons, switches, páčkových switches and reed relays.
  • Optical measurement of LEDS and displays, including light intensity and wavelength.
  • Testing sound components (Buzzer Test).
  • Visual inspection dimensions, height and position of the components.

Automatic optical inspection (AOI)

Automatic optical inspection allows quick and accurate quality control mounting printed circuit boards. Systems AOI verify the correct presence, orientation, location and quality of the soldered joints and significantly contribute to an increase in the reliability of the production.

In-Circuit Test (ICT)

Electrical testing verifies the proper function of the individual components, the interconnection and the electrical parameters before starting the function test.

  • 1× Reinhardt ATS-KMFT 670 M-5 with the product Type 42A-3 Manual Test Fixture
  • Type 52L Manual Test Fixture for testing the oversized DPS

Functional testing

Functional tests simulate real operation of the product and verify its correct operation. Test scenarios preparing individually according to the requirements of the customer and the nature of the specific application.

We perform, for example:

  • Comprehensive functional testing of electronic assemblies
  • Communication tests (I2C, RS232, Bluetooth)
  • Firmware programming
  • Burn-in tests
  • High voltage test (AC/DC)
  • Mechanical testing of controls
  • Optical testing LEDS and displays
  • Testing the audio element

The traceability of the production (Traceability)

Each electronic assembly can be completely traced in the context of the manufacturing process. Traceability system allows the registration of the materials used, production batches, technological operations, test results and individual production parameters. Thanks to this, we provide the maximum transparency of production and comply with the requirements of customers from industries with high demands on quality.

ESD protection

All manufacturing and testing processes are carried out in an ESD protected environment. Adherence to the strict rules of the electrostatic protection minimizes the risk of damage to sensitive electronic components during manufacturing, handling and testing.

The calibration of the measuring technique

All measuring and testing equipment is regularly calibrated in accordance with the internal system of quality management. This provides the measurement accuracy, repeatability of the results and long-term reliability of all control processes.

The development of test products

For specific projects we design and manufacture custom test jigs and automated test stations. Thanks to that we can adapt to a range of testing individual customer requirements and ensure maximum level of control of each manufactured product.
